Bettye Sue ''Gigi'' Waters Kellum, 89

Bettye Sue ''Gigi'' Waters Kellum, 89, of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Belle View Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. She was born February 9, 1936, in Star City to the late Henry Hartwell Waters and Alta Lorene White Waters.
She was the widow of Leo Kellum, a retired seamstress, office clerk, and homemaker and longtime member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Betty was a very active member/volunteer of the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR), Quilter's Extension Club, the Drew County Fair, and the Monticello Senior Citizens Center.

She also enjoyed reading, flower gardening, studying her family's genealogy and following the Arkansas Razorbacks but most of all, loved her Lord and Savior and her church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Waters; and one sister, Kathleen ''Kitty'' Watson
She is survived by her two children, Sherry Collins (Larry) of Monticello and David Kellum (Kathy) of Star City; one brother, Bill Waters of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Karen Collins, Kimberly Noesser (Josh), Laci Barnes (Grant), John David Kellum  (Rachel), and Karli Weast (Ozzy); and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Roper officiating. There was a visitation Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
