The Monticello Billies travelled to White Hall on Tuesday, August 18, to face the White Hall Bulldogs in their scheduled AAA Benefit scrimmage.

Playing under the normal benefit/scrimmage rules of no kick returns and with the whistle being blown to kill the play if a defender touches or gets within a certain distance of the quarterback, the Billies would receive the ball first to open the scrimmage contest staring at their own 20.

The first play from scrimmage for the Billies was a short pass from Hudson Harvey to Joseph Accelus for positive yardage followed by a run by Caleb Fisher to move the chains for the Billies.

Accelus would Move the ball close to mid field and would follow with a 58-yard touchdown run on the next play.

Jude Parke would connect on the extra point.

After forcing the Bulldogs to punt on their first possession, the Billies would take a 14-0 lead after Harvey connected with Jax Rawls for a seven-yard touchdown pass.

Parke added the extra point.

White Hall would get their only touchdown of the night on their next possession after Dylan Mitchell connected with Draveon Mixon with Brennick Rledderer adding the extra point to cut the lead to 14-7.

The Billies would get two more scores in the contest with touchdowns by Jalen Hall and Ja’Bralyn Culbreath.

Parke added both extra point attempts to put the final score Monticello 28 White Hall 7.

The Billies will officially open the season on Friday, August 28, on the road against Class 3A preseason ranked #5 Fordyce at 7 pm.
