Bobby Ray Cain, 65, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at his home. He was born September 5, 1958, in Eudora to the late Willie Cain and Betty Jo Ann Taylor Cain.
He was a retired cross country truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Bobby was a gifted mechanic that could fix anything. Other hobbies that he enjoyed included gardening, drinking his Coca Cola's, smoking cigarettes, watching old tv shows and Nascar racing but most of all, loved spending time with his late wife Kathy and his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hope Parker; sister, Rhonda Black; and son, Matt Durham.
He is survived by his four children, Marie Parker (Jonathon) of Kilbourne, La., Heidi Reed (Dillon Aldy) of Monticello, Brent Durham of Monticello, and Chris Cain; his two siblings, Sheilah Cain of Harrison and Richard Cain of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Kaylee and Claira, Allison, Jackson, Raylee, Ruthie, Ryder, Sara Rein, Elijah and Isaiah.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. There was a visitation Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
