Carolynn Janis Vest McManus, 81, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her home. She was born October 9, 1943, in Monticello to the late Raymond Leon Vest and Susie Harrison Vest.
She was the widow of Harold McManus, Sr., a retired Registered Nurse and member of Ladelle Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carolynn enjoyed rummage sales, painting and was an excellent cook. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Vest; and a sister, Charlynn Adams.
Survivors include her children, Harold McManus, Jr. of Ladelle and Carole Neeley (Dane) of Dumas; two sisters, Marilyn Satterlee of Monticello and Evelynn Feece of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren, Baylee McManus, Alana Vasquez and Jordan Neeley; two great grandchildren, Whitley Lawson and Harlow Mondragon; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Ladelle Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan McRae and Rev. David Bostian officiating. There was a visitation from 1-2 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the church. Burial was in Ladelle Cemetery
