Let's celebrate our 250th birthday and decorate Monticello with red, white, and blue! To help mark this occasion in our patriotic history, Col. David Love Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Drew County Master Gardeners, and Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a Porch/Front Yard Decorating Contest. Get your neighborhood involved. Create a theme for your street or road. Let's show our revolutionary spirit and make Monticello and Drew County red, white, and blue!
There are three categories - Spirit of '76, Red, White & Wow, and Patriot Creativity. Each category will have its own winner. There is no cost to participate. Make your entry by June 30 by calling the Chamber at 870-367-6741 or emailing your entry to monticellochamber@sbcglobal.net.
Your entry should include which category you wish to participate in, your name, address, and phone number.
Entries will be judged by Drew County Master Gardeners July 1 and 2, with one winner in each category announced on July 3.
