’Tis the season to be jolly—and The Advance-Monticellonian is helping spread Christmas cheer throughout Drew County.
Local businesses have teamed up with the Advance to create unique holiday-themed coloring pages, each designed to showcase participating businesses in festive style.
Coloring pages will be available at participating locations — ACE, Allied Plumbing and Hardware Supply, Baker’s Electrical Supply, Baptist Medical Center, Barton’s, Commercial Bank, Discount Merchandise, LIT Nutrition, Major’s Forest and Lawn, Martin Collision and Classics, Monticello Coffee Co., Monticello Chevy/GMC, Paint and Lighting Plus, Posh Salon, Ray’s, Ryburn Motor Company, SEARK Children’s Clinic, Union Bank (on the square), the Weyerhaeuser office located on the square, and at the Advance office, 314 N. Main St. Pages will also be distributed during the annual Monticello Christmas Parade on Tuesday, December 2, during the Advance’s open house. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Children can also drop their letters to Santa off in our special Letters to Santa mailbox.
The deadline for entries is noon on Friday, December 12. All completed coloring pages must be returned to the Advance office to be eligible for judging. Contest is open to children ages 12 and under.
