According to Monticello Mayor Jason Akers, the Country Club water tower project is completed after weeks of repairs and improvements. The project was completed ahead of schedule.
The 250,000 gallon tank was completely covered, then the interior and exterior were sandblasted. Sealing and painting occurred and other miscellaneous improvements were made to the tank as well.
“We appreciate the patience of the residents in the area who rely on the tank as water pressure was a headache at times,” Mayor Akers said. “Monticello now has another safe, modern water storage facility to protect the quality of our most valuable resource.”
