Jim Hendren and Misty Orpin From Common Ground AR spoke to a full crowd at the Monticello Rotary Club meeting Thursday, January 26.
Hendren, a former member of the House of Representatives and the Arkansas Senate, started Common Ground AR as a way to present factual information to the public amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Orpin joined the operation shortly after its founding, and utilized her background in journalism to present unbiased facts to the public.
The mission of Common Ground AR is to put people over politics and empower everyday Arkansans to advocate for themselves, hold leaders accountable, and work toward common-sense solutions.
Students from the University of Arkansas at Monticello Political Science department joined the crowd to listen to the presentation that discussed the current legislative session.
