Throughout August, the Rotary Club of Monticello sponsored a feminine hygiene product drive for the students at Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services.
Drop-off locations were placed around the town at The Advance Monticellonian, Monticello Coffee Company, Chris’ Hair Care, the AT&T store, 1st Choice Home Health Care, and the Edward Jones office on Westgate Drive. Those locations collected packages and took monetary donations.
The local Junior Auxiliary, Immanuel Baptist Church, the Youth Chapter of the Drew County NAACP, also joined with Rotary and made donations through their community service organizations.
