Donna Jo Butler McManus, 70, of Monticello, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family in. She was born March 8, 1953, in Magnolia to the late Bunyon Junis Butler and Mary Lee McManus.
She was the widow of Jerry McManus, a retired CNA and a homemaker. Donna was a sassy lady that loved being outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing and was a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Ross and fiancé Randy Hawkins of Wilmar, Vernon Lee Giles of Oregon and William Robert Giles of Monticello; one brother, Clovis Butler of Magnolia; one sister, Mary Frances Taylor of Wynne; three grandchildren, Brittney Thiele, Dakota Wayne Hazel and Nathan Oliver; three great grandchildren, Alexis Leeann Jo Reed, Kaylee Nicole Thiele and Serenity Windham; a step-daughter, Donna McManus Winchester of McGehee; her special friend, Jessie Ray; and her special puppy, Toby.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Ladelle Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Burial was in Ladelle Cemetery. There was a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the church.
