On June 1, fourteen Drew County 4-H members traveled to the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock to compete in the Arkansas 4-H State Outdoor Skills Challenge. Representing Drew County with skill, determination, and teamwork, participants competed in a variety of outdoor events, including axe throwing, BB shooting, slingshots, fishing, and campfire starting.
Drew County 4-H was well represented, with five junior teams and two senior teams competing against youth from across the state.
Among the top performers, senior team members Aurora O. and Jesi H. earned first place in Fishing and Slingshot, second place in BB Shooting, and tied for second place in Axe Throwing. Their outstanding performances secured second place overall in the senior division.
Senior team members Ada R. and Alivia D. also had an impressive showing, tying for second place in Axe Throwing and earning fourth place overall.
