The Drew County Democrats will hold their April monthly meeting on Monday, April 27, at 6 p.m. at the Monticello Library conference room, located at 114 W. Jefferson Ave.

The meeting, which is open to both members and the public, will feature special guest Hallie Shoffner, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate.

Earlier in the day, Shoffner is also scheduled to participate in a community meet-and-greet event from noon to 2 p.m. at Monticello Coffee Company. The event is designed to give local residents an opportunity to speak directly with the candidate, ask questions, and learn more about her platform and vision for Arkansas.

Shoffner is running as a Democrat against incumbent U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton. Organizers say the visit is intended to encourage community engagement and provide a forum for discussion on issues impacting Arkansas residents.

The meet-and-greet will offer a casual setting for attendees to connect with Shoffner as well as with neighbors and community leaders. Participants will have the chance to share their thoughts, hear directly from the candidate, and gain insight into her policy priorities.

Both events are open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to come and go as their schedules allow.

For more information, residents are encouraged to contact local party representatives or visit event organizers’ social media pages.
