Edith M. Sharp Piper Carter, 81, of Monticello, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at her home. She was born November 15, 1943, in Grapevine to the late Oliver and Lera Sharp.
She was a homemaker, retired factory worker and was of the Southern Baptist faith. Mrs. Edith loved working puzzles and spending time with her cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Piper and her second husband, Preston Carter.
She is survived by two sons, Harrell Harvey Piper (Karen) of Monticello and Shane Piper (Kimberly) of Benton; two granddaughters, Taylor Piper Boring (Parker) of Liberty, Kan. and Payton Piper of Benton; and two grandsons, Ryan Piper Koehne (Aaron) of Espyville, Pa. and Paxton Piper of Benton.
Graveside services were 10 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Prairie Grove Cemetery with Rev. Joe Chambers officiating. There was a visitation Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
