Ella Elizabeth Worrell, 86, of Plantersville, Texas, made her final transition on October 30, 2024, returning to the side of her beloved husband and to the arms of our Father after succumbing to cancer. Ella was born on September 15, 1938, to Guy and Mary Wood in Arkansas.
On September 3, 1955, Ella married Lloyd Worrell. Ella and Lloyd went on to have four children, Kay, Lois, Kenneth, and Debbie.
Ella was known for her strong will and love for her family, who affectionately came to call her Granny. She spent several years serving in the local Mother's Day Out program at her church with her sister and brother-in-law. Ella had a love-hate relationship with crossword puzzles, enjoyed her plants, and showed her family her love for them through her delicious cooking. Ella lived the best life she knew, while our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in that she is no longer suffering.
Ella was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, parents Guy and Mary, her brother Robert, her two sisters Lois and Mary, her son Kenneth, and her grandson Ransom. She is survived by her sisters, Frances and Guylene, her brother Bill, her children, Kay, Lois and Debbie, her grandchildren, Tasha, Elizabeth, Gregory, Kenneth, KC, and Amber, and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Freeway Baptist in Houston, Texas on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. Ella's ashes will be laid to rest in Green Hill Cemetery in Monticello at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024
