Evangelist Mary Franklin, 75, of Monticello, transitioned Thursday,
March 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was a native of
Fountain Hill, a resident of Lacey, and a member of House of Prayer Ministries in Fountain Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Porter Franklin, Sr., and two sons, John Porter Franklin, Jr. and Undra Lambert, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Deverick Franklin (Clare) of Lacey, Alfonzo Franklin (Amber) of Sterlington, La., Tyrone Franklin (LaTeasha) of Lacey, one
daughter, Tonya Spencer (Jonathan) of Monticello, two brothers, Joe Lambert of Lacey, and Waymon Lambert (Trudie) of Milwaukee, Wisc., six sisters, Vera Dotson of Houston, Texas, Louise Miller of Fountain Hill, Doris Franklin of Monticello, Marilyn Kay
Jones of Monticello, Pamela Lambert of Fountain Hill, and Shirley Benton of Monticello, a special friend Candace Parker nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, March 14, 2025, from 5-6 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Funeral Service is Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11a.m. at House Of Prayer with Pastor Daryle Daniel, Jr., officiating. Burial in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, under the direction of
Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
