Geraldine Joy ''Jan'' Tiner, 87, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born December 2, 1934, in Drew County, to the late William Bill Barnett and Julia Mary Webb Barnett.
She was the widow of Arnold Ray Tiner, a housewife and one of Jehovah's witnesses. Mrs. Jan's hobbies included reading and embroidery but her greatest passion was spending time with her family and being involved in her ministries.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Barnett and Dink Barnett; and one sister, Pat Kellum.
She is survived by one son, Michael Ray Tiner (Ramona) of Rye; three daughters, Linda McNeese (Martin0 of Sierra Vista, Annette West (Ricky) of Warren, Kim Shelby (Fritz) of Monticello, and Tracie Tiner of Hot Springs; one sister, Betty Carter of Wilmar; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Chris Adams officiating. Burial was in Union Ridge Cemetery. You can sign Mrs. Jan's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
