On Wednesday, June 18, Weyerhaeuser held an official ground breaking ceremony for the upcoming TimberStrand facility which will be built at the Intermodal sight.
The event had a large turnout and was attended by Congressman Bruce Westerman, Lieutenant Governor Leslie Rutledge, Senator Ben Gilmore, Representative Jeff Wardlaw, and many community members from both Monticello and Warren.
“We’re excited about this project,” Brian K. Chaney, Weyerhaeuser Senior Vice President of Wood Products said. “These large projects take a long time, and they don’t always work out. This project is on the right path, and it is happening. To be here with the community and engaging with everyone is fantastic. For Weyerhaeuser, this truly is a great day.”
