Grubbs awarded state Passion for the Profession Award

The Roy Lee Aldridge Jr. Passion for the Profession award is presented annually by the Arkansas chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). This award recognizes and honors a physical therapist for promoting physical therapy in Arkansas, for being an ambassador for the profession, and for embodying an overall passion for helping people through physical therapy. The 2023 recipient is Nathaniel Grubbs.

Nat and his wife, Traci are the owners of South Arkansas Rehabilitation in Monticello. He was previously honored by the Arkansas chapter of the APTA with the Outstanding Physical Therapist award in 2015 for outstanding clinical practice and promotion of ongoing professional development, and was recognized again in 2021 with the Outstanding Clinical Instructor award for outstanding teaching/mentoring and promotion of professionalism in the clinical setting.

The Arkansas chapter of the APTA is a non-profit professional organization comprised of licensed Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and PT/PTA students who maintain membership. The mission of APTA Arkansas is to represent and promote the profession of Physical Therapy in its endeavors to meet the physical therapy needs of society; to develop and improve the art and science of Physical Therapy including practice, education, and research; and to meet the needs and interests of its members in the State of Arkansas.
