It’s time to cast your vote and let your voice be heard

The time for You, the readers of the Advance Monticellonian, to cast your ballots and pick the Reader’s Choice winners is upon us.

This year, paper ballots will be printed in the Advance from Wednesday, July 5-August 9. One paper ballot per person will be accepted each week. Ballots will only be accepted if they are original print versions, no photocopies or hand written ballots will be allowed. Paper ballots can be mailed to the Advance at P.O. Box 486, Monticello, AR 71657. The ballots can also be dropped off in person at the Advance office located at 314 N. Main Street, Monticello, AR.

Votes may also be cast online at advancemonticellonian.com. The limit is one vote, per person, per day.

The deadline for voting will be August 11. After all votes are counted, the Advance staff will draw a winner from the paper ballot entries, and a winner from the online votes to receive a prize. These winners will be announced in the Reader’s Choice edition of the Advance which will run in September.

For ballots to be eligible, at least 60 of the categories must be filled out. The staff of the Advance is not responsible for any ballots which are lost in the mail, or delayed by the postal service. Any and all decisions by the judges are final. The staff of the Advance or their immediate family members are not eligible to win.

The Advance staff asks that votes are limited to Drew County residents and businesses so the local people and places are the ones being highlighted.

If you have further questions you can call the Advance-Monticellonian at 870-367-5325.

The Advance staff would like to thank our readers for supporting Reader’s Choice each year. Happy Voting!
