Jerry Shelton Davis, 85, of Wilmar, passed away Wednesday, March 25, at his home. He was born October 29, 1940, in Wilmar, to the late Guy and Lucille Griffin Davis.

Jerry had a passion working as a sawer in a lumber sawmill for over 50 years doing what he loved. He was employed with Ozark Badger Lumber Company in Wilmar for 5.5 years, J.P. Price Lumber Company for 16 years before working for Potlatch Lumber Company. He also loved fishing, camping, trot-lining and working his cows but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a United States Army Veteran where he was an E6 Staff Sgt. stationed in Fort Polk, LA and Fort Walters, TX. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Ann Davis Creed.

He is survived by his wife of 59.5 years Patricia Cope Davis; two sons, Randall Davis (Angela) and Calvin Davis (Brandie); six grandchildren, Faith, Megan, Austin, Corey and Ashleigh, and Hope; ten great grandchildren; a brother, James Tommy Davis (Theresa); along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Wesson and Rev. Joe Chambers officiating.
