Joe Lee Lassiter, 97, of Wilmar, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Greenhouse Cottages in Rison. He was born December 21, 1926, in Wilmar to the late Joseph Lassiter and Irma Logan Lassiter.
He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Willoughby Free Will Baptist faith. Joe Lee enjoyed riding his horses and going to the Bradley County Riding Arena with his son Donald on the weekends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertia Mae Lassiter; three brothers, Cleveland, Howard and Melvin Lassiter; and three sisters, Eva Barnett, Gene Yelvington and Marcel Crest.
He is survived by his son, Donald Lee Lassiter (Alesia) of Warren; brother, Carl Lassiter of Warren; grandchildren, Brannigan Dixon (Brian) and Marqus Lassiter all of Warren; and a great-grandchild, Braydon Dixon and soon to arrive, Brayleigh Dixon.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Oakland Cemetery in Warren with Rev. Charles Wooley officiating.
