Julian Aaron Cruce, age 81, of Star City, passed away Wednesday, May 13, at his home. He was born April 1, 1945, in Drew County, to the late Walter Scott Cruce and Margie Sally Cruce.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of Friendship Baptist Church. Aaron enjoyed his horses and fur babies, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed attending church and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Aaron Cruce and Julian Scott Cruce; a grandson, Hunter Cruce; brother, Marshall Wayne Cruce; a sister, Barbara Nell Bostian; and a step-daughter, Amy Mann Angle.
Survivors include one daughter, Tasha Davis of Fayetteville; siblings, Everett E. Jones, Sylvia Ball and Ila Jones, all of Monticello; Gail Burton of Melbourne, FL, and Mitchell Jones of Spearville, KS; step-son, Donnie Mann; granddaughter, Kyhlee Cruce; two grandsons, Dylan Angle and R.J. Angle; great grandson, Jason Angle; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jackie Richardson officiating.
