As part of Monticello’s City wide clean up weekend, City Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks, Administrative Staff, MEDC as well as local churches and the local NAACP Chapter picked up over 1500 pounds of trash and and litter inside the city.
The Church of Christ, Emmanual Baptist, Morning Star Baptist, the United Methodist Church, The Revival Center and NAACP Chapter 6042 put in hard work on Saturday assisting in the litter pick up. Many others assisted as well.
Supplies for the cleanup were provided by Keep Arkansas Beautiful. Kelly Koonce helped organize the event.
