Leslie to compete in ATA World Competition

ATA Martial Arts student, William Leslie of Monticello, was awarded the titles of 15-17 year old Arkansas State Champion last month in Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, Creative Weapons, Combat Sparring, and Point Sparring.  

The State Champion titles qualified him to compete for District Champion in Dallas on June 17, 2023, where the top ten competitors from the Southern District, which includes Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma are invited to compete for the title. 

Leslie competed in Dallas and won the titles of 15-17 year old District Champion in Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, Creative Weapons, and was awarded second place in Combat Sparring and third place in Point Sparring.  He now qualifies to compete in the ATA World Competition in Phoenix, Ariz. next month.  

Leslie trains at the ATA World Headquarters in Little Rock under the instruction of Master Keegan Ireland and staff.
