Linda Gail Carter Hyatt, 82, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, March 24, at St. Vincent Hospice in Little Rock. She was born June 5, 1943, in Monticello, to the late J.D. Carter and Katherine (Carter) Carter.

She was the widow of David Taylor Hyatt, a retired police dispatcher and was of the Presbyterian faith. Gail loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family, fishing, loved to talk and tell stories about her grandkids. She also dearly loved her law enforcement family and had many fond memories of serving the public. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Carter.

She is survived by two daughters, Jaye Jones (Larry) and Ann Kling (Larry) all of Monticello; a sister, Pat Lack (Johnny); her four beloved grandchildren, Lance Kling (Kasey), Levi Kling (Sydney), Hannah Kling Darnell (Clay), and Suzanne Leonard (Phillip); four great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Lois, California Ann and Ginger; and sister and brother-in-law, Hannah and Art Harris.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Pleasant Springs Cemetery. There was a visitation from 1-2 p.m. preceding the graveside service at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church.you can sign Mrs. Gail’s guestbook at www.Stephensondearman.com.
