On August 8, Prosecuting Attorney Frank Spain’s office filed paperwork charging Amy Abney and Andrea Chambers with felony theft. Per the paperwork submitted by Spain’s office, for a period of two years, from on or about February 1, 2022 through June 4, 2024, allegedly the defendants unlawfully and feloniously, as part of an ongoing scheme or plan, took or exercised unauthorized control over property belonging to Second Chance Fur Dogs with the purpose to deprive the owner thereof.
At this time, no court date has been set. Both Abney and Chambers are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Our staff will provide updates as they become available.
