Log-A-Load set for August 6

After two years at McCloy Park, the 2022 Drew County Log a Load for Kids will return to Pauline Baptist Church at 5 p.m., Saturday, August 6.  Individual tickets are $25 and will be available at the door.

This year Willis Jones, the 2022 Drew County Log a Load for Kids patient along the with the 2021 patient, Laci Hammil, will be recognized at the event.  Their parents will speak at the event on Saturday.

Log a Load for Kids currently has four chapters in the state of Arkansas raising money for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.   In 2019, a $2.5 million dollar commitment was made to assist in the funding of a Heart Institute at Arkansas Children's Hospital.  Previous endowments funded by Arkansas Log a Load for Kids support the Emergency Department and Trauma Unit, pediatric cardiovascular surgery, the Angel One transport program and the imaging and radiation program.

Log a Load for Kids began in Arkansas in 1993 and has raised over $9 million dollars. Drew County has raised $1,728,406.00 since 1993. Each year funds raised by Arkansas Log a Load for Kids is earmarked for the current endowment.  These endowments are chosen by the active chapters with guidance from the hospital.   No funds raised are spent outside of the endowments.  

This year’s event will feature a live and silent auction with raffles. A catfish dinner sponsored by Weyerhaeuser, Georgia Pacific, The Price Companies and Campbell Global LLC, with all the trimmings will be served. Donations for the auctions are still be accepted.  Raffle tickets and t-shirts can be purchased from committee members or at the event.  For more information contact Gay Pace at 870-723-6466.
