Lois Janette Causey, 90, of Jacksonville passed from this life on March 11, 2025 at The Springs of Searcy Health and Rehab. She was born March 3, 1935 in New Edinburg to the late Gladney and Mary (Parrot) Phillips. Mrs. Causey was a longtime member of Landmark Baptist Church before she and her husband became members of First Baptist Church Jacksonville.
Lois enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, crocheting, cooking, bluegrass music and camping with friends, but was always happiest spending time with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who lived the values of her Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-five years, Thomas Fredrick Causey in 2018; and grandson, Jonathon Davis in 2023.
Left to carry on her legacy are children, Thomas Causey (Christi) of Cabot, Melissa Echols (Ron) of Jonesboro, Melanie Bouwknegt of Cabot, Michelle Johnston (Joseph) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kristy, Cassie, Mitchell, Nick, Mikey, Kristin, Candace, Kathryn, Jonathan, Kyle, Greyson, Jessica and Amber. Other survivors include numerous great and great great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville. Mrs. Causey will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the service following at 11 a.m.
