Lois graduated from Caruth High School in 1956 and over the years lived in Kennett, Ava, Poplar Bluff and Lebanon, Mo., as well as Heber Springs, Rogers, and Wilmar, making lots of dear friends along the way.

Lois was united in marriage to Ralph Calhoun on December 17, 1971, and they recently celebrated fifty-four years together.

Lois was preceded in death by a son, David Yates; a step-son, Greg Calhoun; a sister, Shirley (Ivie) McIntosh; and brothers, Cecil Ivie, Leon Ivie, Jim Ivie, Glen Ivie and Leroy Ivie.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; two children from an earlier marriage, Leanna (Yates) Pogue (Steve) of Pacific, Mo. and Mike Yates of Kennett, Mo.; and her step-son Keith Calhoun (Carla) of Lebanon, Mo.; her precious grandchildren, Dana (Yates) Albright (Dan), Chris Yates, Jeremy Yates (Justina), Jason Yates, Shay Ehrhardt, Hannah Calhoun, Grace Calhoun Linam (Luke), Brandon Calhoun (Gurneet), and Tiffany Calhoun Gieselmann (James); her great-grandchildren, Lauren Chapman, Alison Cooper, Alex Yates, Carson Yates, Dylan Yates, Jaden Yates, Jared Yates, Presleigh Yates, Alyssa Fredwell, Jackson Gieselmann and Nivaan Calhoun; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Molly.

Lois knew her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, attended church regularly no matter where she and Ralph lived, and was actively involved in many church activities. Her membership was in Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Rye, but recent attendance was enjoyed at Cedarhurst Assisted Living through Heritage Baptist Church.

Lois lived a wonderful life. She loved to cook and spend time with her family and her precious grandchildren. She also treasured her relationships with her sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and extended family in Arkansas. Lois loved her many friends, looked forward to family reunions and family activities, and participating in church functions. She enjoyed going to the lake and fishing, she liked to go dancing and looked forward to bowling and playing other games.

She will be dearly missed by her many friends from Cedarhurst where she and Ralph have lived for the past five years. Lois was a very organized person and was an immaculate decorator and homemaker. She was especially proud of a fifty-four year happy and loving marriage to her beloved husband, Ralph.
