Master Gardeners beautify Drew County

Posted

As one of the Drew County Master Gardeners’ projects, work was recently completed at the Drew County Museum.  Azaleas were replaced, new flowering beds were created and a clean-up of all other shrubberies were finished at the museum.

Drew County Master Gardeners have additional projects that include the SEARK Library, the Pollinator Project, Herb Garden and the Pass Along Garden at the Monticello Soccer Field, the Drew County Courthouse, the Monticello Square, the Monticello Fire station and the Drew Central Little Mates Garden.  A new project will include the Arkansas Baptist Home for Children.

In addition, Drew County Master Gardeners provide an annual plant sale.  This organization’s goal is to beautify our city and to provide educational opportunities to children and adults who enjoy planting and gardening.  If anyone is interested in becoming a member of Master Gardener, an upcoming event includes an open meeting on Wednesday, June 11, at 6 p.m.  If anyone interested is interested in  becoming a Master Gardener or who would like to attend the open meeting, please  call or email Trudy Jackson(870-723-5052) (trudygailjackson@yahoo.com) for more information.
