Members of American Legion Post #2 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4515 will hold a commemorative Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25, on the Drew County Courthouse lawn, honoring the local men and women who gave their lives in the line of service. During the ceremony, Boy Scouts Troop 67 will place flags on the Memorial Flag Board as the names of deceased veterans are read aloud. Guest speakers will be Drew County Judge Jessie Griffin and Monticello Mayor Jason Akers.
