Make plans for your family to spend summer Saturdays at the Monticello Branch Library!
This year's Summer Reading Program theme is "Unearth a Story," and participants will explore the fascinating worlds of dinosaurs, archaeology, paleontology, and geology. Each two-hour program will feature themed crafts, presentations, songs and dances, contests, and opportunities to win prizes.
Saturday programs are designed for children ages 5-12 and will be held on June 13, 20, and 27, and July 11, 18, and 25, beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
The library is excited to provide meals for participating children this year, thanks to community partnerships and the generous support of local donors.
In addition, children ages 3-5 (Pre-K and Kindergarten) are invited to attend special age-appropriate programs held on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Join the Monticello Branch Library, located at 114 W. Jefferson Ave., to dig into exciting stories, explore hands-on activities, and experience summer fun!
To register for summer events, visit or call the library or scan the QR code on the Monticello Branch Library Facebook page. The Program will kick off for all ages on Saturday, June 13, at 11. a.m.
