According to the Chief of Police, Carlos Garcia, on August 14, investigators with the Monticello Police Department, with the assistance of Drew County Sheriff’s Department, arrested 41 year old Clinton Savage of Monticello.
Savage was taken into custody on multiple charges including: Rape of a child; distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child; and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
Savage was transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where he was held pending his first appearance on August 15, where he appeared before Judge Robert Gibson who set Savage’s bond at $1 million.
