Twelve Gifted and Talented students from Monticello Middle School were introduced to architecture at the Taylor House and Hollywood Plantation Friday, November 3, as part of Alex Foundation's place based education series and teaching with historic places.

Students sketched the Taylor House and learned about the design of the dogtrot style Taylor House.  Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design retired professor or architecture, Russell Rudzinski gave the students a lesson in perspective drawing.  Rudzinski is also a principal architect with Architects 226 in Fayetteville.

Rudzinski's visit was possible in part with funding from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
