Jefferson Regional Monticello Medical Clinic is proud to announce that Teresa Duckworth, RN, has been honored as one of the statewide 2023 Compassionate Nurse Award winners.
A total of 100 nurses are recognized each year by Publishing Concepts, Inc., the nation’s largest publisher of State Board of Nursing Journals. There were 80 finalists for the Compassionate Nurse Award and 20 for the Outstanding Nurse Educator Award. Jefferson Regional had nine nurses who were honored this year, including Teresa. These nurses were nominated by their coworkers for being not only compassionate, but caring and empathetic to their patients.
Jefferson Regional also had a winner in the Nurse Educator category, Terry Cornelius, MSN, RN, CNOR, from the Surgery department at Jefferson Regional in Pine Bluff. Teresa, Terry and the other nominees from Jefferson Regional will be honored at this year’s annual Nurse’s Day luncheon in May.
