Detectives with the Monticello Police Department Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday, May 25, 2026.
At approximately 4 a.m., Monticello Police Department dispatch received a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance at a residence within the city. Upon arrival, officers located three people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene. The Drew County coroner later pronounced all three victims deceased. The next of kin was notified; therefore, the victims have been identified as Sherry Brown, McKenzie Lee Asarisi, and Keyshawn Laron Daniels.
There is no threat to the public. The investigation is still ongoing.
