MPD makes Burglary Arrest

According to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, a Monticello man is facing burglary, theft and drug paraphernalia charges after a search warrant was executed at his residence where stolen property from a recent theft was recovered.

Paul Jason Fortenberry, 45, was arrested last Sunday, July 31 by MPD after an investigation into a recent report of theft of furniture and household items was reported.

Detectives and MPD’s Canine Unit arrested Fortenberry on the scene of the search warrant execution and charged him with Residential Burglary, Theft of Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Drew County Detention Facility.
