Mrytle Bostian, 97, of Monticello, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 11, 1928, to the late James Jesse Barnett and Zeba Shewmake Barnett.
Myrtle was homemaker and a member of Wilmar Baptist Church. She was the widow of Victor Hugh Bostian, enjoyed making quilts, growing beautiful flowers and raising her garden.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrytle is preceded in death by a son, Paul Bostian; and two daughters, Ruby Bostian and Linda Sue Hoover.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Perry of Conway and Judy Gates (Jerry) of Warren; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:30–11 a.m. and graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in Union Cemetery in Rye.
