At approximately 7:30 a.m. June 6, 2022, agents of the Drew County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in Collins. At the residence, the home owner Terrell K. Hackney Jr., 52, and Amanda S. Hoover, 40, were placed under arrest. During the search, agents discovered a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and three firearms. Terrell K. Hackney Jr. was taken before Circuit Judge Laurie Bridewell on June 7 for a first appearance.

Hackney was issued a bond of a $100,000 on the charges of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) with the purpose to deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, Simultaneous Possession of Drug and Firearms, and four counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Amanda S. Hoover was also issued a $100,000 bond and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, and Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance of Methamphetamine. Both remain in the Drew County Dentition Facility at this time.

Hackney was also given a first appearance on a Bench Warrant obtained by the Drew County Sheriff’s Department issued on May 10 for the charge of theft of scrap metal, a class B felony. The charge stemmed from a complaint from a representative of the Midland Railroad Company that railroad iron that had been taken from property owned by Midland Railroad. During the investigation evidence led to a scrap metal yard in Lake Village where Hackney sold the railroad iron. According to the representative of Midland Railroad, the estimated value of stolen iron was approximately $10,000.

Circuit Judge Laurie Bridewell placed Hackney under the same and previous bond issued on the drug and gun charges

“I would like to thank all the agencies and personnel that participated in the operation regarding the execution of the search warrants,” Sheriff Mark Gober stated.
