On Thursday, April 17, Drew County Judge Jessie Griffin (left) and Monticello Mayor Jason Akers (right) signed proclamations recognizing Thursday, May 1 as the National Day of Prayer. Bob Starks (center), one of the organizers for the event each year, was presented with the proclamations.
