Pattye Faye Murphy Bordeaux, 90, of Monticello went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center - Drew County. She was born on the prairie March 3, 1934, to the late Rece Murphy and Lela Burch Murphy.
She was a homemaker and member of Enon Baptist Church. She was retired from City Drug however her most cherished employment was her fifteen years she spent working for her dear friend, Mary Cathryn Flemister at The Nook & Western Wear. Pattye was a member of the Enon Extension Homemaker's Club for over 60 years. She was the secretary of Enon Water Association for many years. Pattye's love for people showed through her great southern hospitality where even a stranger would leave with a feeling of being a part of the family. She often talked about the enjoyment of helping Buddy around the farm with the cows and raising their gardens. She loved cooking and baking. Pattye's most cherished moments was time spent with and talking about her granddaughters.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, D.T. ''Buddy'' Bordeaux who she married, September 2, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Basil Murphy and her sister, Merle Johnson.
Pattye is survived by her brother, Charles Murphy (Mary) of Bryant; her son, Danny Bordeaux of Monticello; her granddaughters, Whitney Bordeaux (Mark) of Monticello and Courtney Bordeaux of Conway, and their mother Lynn Frost (Joe) whom she referred to as her daughter. She also is survived by her spoiled great grand dogs, Lucy, Winston, and Jasper; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church.
Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Griffith officiating. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Flemister, Dwayne Beaty, Greg Bodiford, Randy Bordeaux, Joe Frost, Mark Gober, Jessie Griffin, and Chris Hales.
