Ricky Lamar Cater, 61, of Monticello, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home. He was born October 21, 1963, in Drew County to the late Charles Lamar ''Chuck'' Cater and Evelyn Wiebenga Cater.
He was a log truck drive most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. Ricky's hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing pool.
He is survived by his son, Nick Cater (Jenna) of Monticello; and a grandson, Gage Forrest Cater.
Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at Gaster Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. There was a visitation Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
