Ronecia Retz, formerly of Monticello, passed away in Bullard, Texas, on August 1, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Chester Retz, daughters Marcelle Kough (Don) and Jacy Halford (John), granddaughter Drew Kough, and sister Carolyn Fowler, all of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents J. C. Shultz and Martha Shultz Crain of Kansas City, Missouri, and grandparents Carroll and Birdie Shultz and Alvin and Lillie Myhand, all of Monticello.
