The Monticello Rotary Club wrapped up its feminine hygiene product drive Friday, August 28, collecting more than 200 packages of products to help meet an important need in the community.
The donated products were divided between Vera Lloyd and the Baptist Children’s Home, helping provide essential personal care items to those served by the two organizations.
The Rotary Club expressed its appreciation to Union Bank, Commercial Bank, EFS, The Fizz, Kingwood Forestry and Echols Enterprises for their generous monetary donations that helped make the drive a success.
Special thanks also went to Posh Salon, Southern Style Salon and Monticello First United Methodist Church for serving as collection sites and giving community members convenient locations to drop off donations.
Through the support of local businesses, organizations and individuals, the drive demonstrated what can be accomplished when the community comes together to meet a need that is often overlooked.
