Coming off their first win of the 2026 season, the UAM Weevils would travel to Bethany, Oklahoma on Saturday to face the Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm.
UAM would get on the board first with two-yard touchdown run by Dave Alston with Charles Stinson adding the extra point for a 7-0 lead.
SNU would tie the contest, but the Weevils would take a 14-7 advantage on a 28-yard touchdown reception from Drew Forkner to Michael Lott and a Stinson extra point.
SNU scored the next touchdown to tie the contest at 14 with the Weevils going up 21-14 after a 32-yard pass to Isaiah Roberts from Forkner and the Stinson extra point.
SNU tied the contest at 21 with 4:04 remaining in the half, but UAM would add six on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Forkner to RJ Hairston for a 27-21 lead.
SNU added a field goal before the end of the half to trail 27-24.
SNU would take the lead in the third quarter after a field goal and a touchdown put the Crimson Storm up 34-27 heading into the fourth quarter.
UAM would get the only score in the fourth to tie the contest at 34 on a one-yard run by Braylon Henry and Stinson kick.
Tied at 34 entering the overtime period, SNU would get the winning score on a 25-yard run to get the first win of the season for the Crimson Storm 40-34.
With the loss, the Weevils fall to 1-4 with Southern Nazarene improving to 1-4.
The Weevils return home on Saturday to celebrate Homecoming, hosting Oklahoma Baptist University who will come into the contest with a record of 2-3.
The Bison defeated the Weevils last season by a field goal 17-14.
UAM and Oklahoma Baptist are set for a scheduled kickoff at 2 pm.
