Thomas Irwin Ferrell, 79, of Wilmar, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born November 23, 1943, in Drew County to the late Van William Ferrell and Leta Mae Snelling Ferrell.
He was a retired mechanic and a Methodist. Thomas enjoyed antique cars and trucks, building race car motors and was a fixer of anything.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Velma I. Graham Ferrell; and two brothers, Bob and John Ferrell.
Survivors include two children, Thomas Dewayne Ferrell of Wilmar and LaDonna Dodson (Jessie) of Monticello; two brothers, Tim Ferrell (Cindy) and Jim Ferrell (Billie) of Wilmar; one sister, Mary Willabea Ingram of Miami, Okla.; four grandchildren, Justin and Tommy Ferrell and Jessica and Nicholas Dodson; seven great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Andrews Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ray Hearron. There was a visitation from 2-3 p.m. preceding the graveside service at the cemetery.
