Tommy Adrian Ellis, 83, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his home. He was born January 28, 1940, in Collins to the late Tommie Richard Ellis and Roxie Irene Watson.
Tommy owned and operated Ellis Body Shop which he operated successfully for 35 years. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and hanging out with his friends at the coffee shop. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia Lynn Ellis; a sister, Katherine Louise Adams; and two brothers, Mitchell Lavon Ellis and Donald Ray Ellis.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Addis Smith Ellis; two sons, Marty Wayne Ellis and Thomas Payton Ellis; two daughters, Cathy Dawn Davis and Melanie Shea Ellis; one brother, Henry Richard Ellis; two sisters, Sylvia Mae McGough and Marilyn Irene McDaniel; along with ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Per his request, a private burial was held at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
