Town and Country Quilters EHC Shop for Fabric

Posted

Town and Country Quilters Extension Homemakers Club recently went on a trip together to visit Marshall’s Dry Goods in Batesville. Nine members of the quilt club and a guest made the ten-hours roundtrip drive to shop for fabric among the largest fabric selection in Arkansas. They met early in the morning at the Drew County Courthouse parking lot and the three cars followed one another along the route. When they arrived, they all enjoyed lunch at Bigs of Batesville before making their way to their shopping adventure.

At the fabric store, they searched for fabrics, batting, and notions to complete quilting projects they have planned and underway. They brought home supplies to complete baby quilts, holiday decorations, and even a tee-shirt quilt top for display in the Town and Country Quilters Educational Booth for the 2022 Drew County Fair. Before they left the store for the trip home, the club posed for a photo.
