On Saturday, April 1, a sign dedication was held at Turner Hill Cemetery in Wilmar. The Sheets family generously made a donation to have the signs erected. Prior to this signage, the cemetery, which is on both sides of 12th Street in Wilmar, did not have any official markings to identify the cemetery, which is a predominantly African American cemetery. The land for Turner Hills Cemetery was donated by Wilie Anderson McClintock during the height of the smallpox epidemic in 1905.
