John McClendon, Chairman of the Board of Union Bank was joined by board members Mike Akin, Joel Stevens, and Robin McClendon, Union Bank President Dave Dickson, along with Dr. Doug Osbourne and Chancellor Dr. Peggy Doss from the University of Arkansas at Monticello to present a $100,000 check in a milestone partnership with the UAM David Snowden Center for Waterfowl Excellence.
“This opportunity is just another example of the long standing partnership between Union Bank and UAM,” John McClendon said. “The Snowden Center is one of a kind in the nation, and the work that Dr. Osbourne and his team does is making great strides in waterfowl conservation that will support the state economy.”
“This is an incredible opportunity that will provide a solid base to support research for students,” Dr. Doug Osbourne said. “All funding is used for student scholarships undergraduate or post-graduate.”
“We value this exciting opportunity that is one of a kind in the nation,” Dr. Peggy Doss said. “We appreciate Union Bank’s support and understanding of the value this center brings to waterfowl research.’
“This is one of the biggest waterfowl programs in the country. UAM is a small university that packs a big punch,” Dr. Osbourne added.
